The horror film "The Nun" box office of 53.5 million US dollars became the North American weekend box office champion

The movie "The Nun" was released in North America on September 7. Although it received poor reviews and had a Rotten Tomatoes rating of only 28%, it did not affect its market performance. In its first three days, the movie grossed 53.5 million U.S. dollars (approximately 367 million yuan), winning the North American weekend box office championship.

As a spin-off film from the "The Conjuring" universe, "The Nun" broke the series' highest opening record in North America and helped distributor Warner Bros. to monopolize the North American weekend charts for the fifth consecutive week.

"The Meg" earned more than 6 million US dollars over the weekend. After five weeks of release, the co-production film's cumulative box office in North America has exceeded 130 million US dollars.
