Halloween 2018 IGN 9.0: A great sequel

IGN today released the rating of the movie "Halloween" (2018). This horror movie directed by David Gordon Green and starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Judy Greer received a high score of 9.0, which is an amazing performance. The film will be released in the United States on October 19, 2018.

IGN editor JIM VEJVODA watched the film in advance at the Toronto Film Festival. He believes that the new "Halloween" movie is the excellent sequel that fans have been waiting for more than 40 years. This is a well-made, exciting and conscientious movie. It is an exciting sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 original. It not only retains the essence of the classic movie, but also develops its own characteristics, thanks to those unexpected but particularly needed humor.

While no film in the series has ever surpassed the original, this sequel to Halloween is certainly a cut above the rest (except for the original) and is a standout even for viewers unfamiliar with the film. Filmmaker David Gordon Green imbues his Halloween with a melancholic wit and a delightful self-awareness, and Jamie Lee Curtis brings a strong sense of conviction and wounded humanity to her iconic scream queen role. The rest of the lead and supporting cast shines, too, often in hilarious ways. The tension is thick, the kills are vicious, the jokes are funny, and the performances throughout are memorable.

Rating: 9.0 Amazing

David Gordon Green's Halloween is a great sequel that brings back the thrills, carnage, and even a lot of laughs.
