Ending A tends to be a happy ending, with a support-again ratio of 8:2; Ending B may receive mixed reviews; Ending C may have a support-again ratio of 1:9, but it is Togashi's favorite ending, so it is more likely to be retained. Togashi later pointed out the possibility of a fourth ending, D, which is the ending in which he leaves the world before "Hunter x Hunter" is completed. In the D ending, Gon will marry a woman and have children, and his granddaughter will repeat Gon's actions of catching the big king fish on Whale Island, but she will not take the hunter exam. |
