Today (July 21), Variety cited sources as reporting that Warner Bros. is seriously considering postponing the release of "Dune 2" and "Aquaman 2" to 2024. The exact date is that "Dune 2" will be released on November 3 next year, and "Aquaman 2" will be released on December 25 next year. It is reported that the main reason for the postponement is the strike in Hollywood. If the strike continues until late autumn, the actors in the film will not be able to participate in promotional activities. If Warner Bros. really wants to move Denis Villeneuve's film to 2024, then Warner must coordinate the decision with Legendary Entertainment. People familiar with the matter clarified that no one from Warner has contacted Legendary Entertainment's representatives regarding Dune 2. In addition, sources also pointed out that Warner currently has no plans to transfer the two films. Spokespersons for Warner and Legendary Entertainment declined to comment on the Variety report. |
