"13 People in Kamakura Palace" Character Photos Announced Oguri Shun, Aragaki Yui and Others

Today (December 8), the new drama "13 People in Kamakura Palace" starring Shun Oguri released the character's costume photos, including Shun Oguri, Yui Aragaki, Rie Miyazawa, Eiko Koike, Ainosuke Kataoka, Yo Oizumi, Terunosuke Takezai, etc. Masami Nagasawa will also serve as the narrator for the drama.

"13 People in Kamakura Palace" is a Taiga drama produced by NHK TV station, written by Koki Mitani, composed by Evan Call, led by Oguri Shun, and co-starred by Yo Oizumi, Yui Aragaki, Eiko Koike, Yajuro Bando, Masaki Suda, Shido Nakamura, Koji Yamamoto, Taishi Nakagawa, Toshiyuki Nishida, Ken Matsudaira, Munetaka Aoki, Ainosuke Kataoka, Jiro Sato, and Mitsuko Kusabue.

Background of the series:

In the Kamakura period, after Minamoto no Yoritomo's death, his son Minamoto no Yoriie, who succeeded the shogun, was young. This was the beginning of the 13-member collegial system in Japan. Among the 13 people who proposed the collegial system, the youngest was Hojo Yoshitoki (Oguri Shun). This drama focuses on the protagonist Hojo Yoshitoki, depicting his progress from a samurai of the Bando Taira clan, through the Genpei War, the deprivation of the power of the shogunate, the Jōkyū War, and finally the shogunate.
