Netflix, the streaming platform, has released the official trailer for FUBAR, a new action-drama TV series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is his first appearance in a TV series. The series is said to be inspired by Schwarzenegger's 1994 classic film True Lies. FUBAR will premiere on May 25. Episode preview:In the series, Schwarzenegger plays a father who is also a CIA agent. However, when he is about to retire, he finds out that his daughter (played by Monica Barbaro) is also a CIA agent, and the relationship between the two is not as harmonious as it seems. In the story, they are forced to become partners, and the series will tell a humorous family story against the background of a spy story. Monica Barbaro previously starred in "Top Gun: Maverick", and she was one of the few actors who did not suffer from airsickness during the film's high-intensity flight training in real life. "Wherever I go, people ask me when I'm going to make another big action-comedy like True Lies," Schwarzenegger said in a statement announcing the film. "Now we have it. FUBAR will be a mix of intense action and wry humor — and it won't just be two hours. It'll be a whole season's worth of stories. I'm excited to give my fans what they've been waiting for." FUBA will consist of eight episodes in total, and the cast also includes Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brill, Barbara Eve Harris and Fabiana Udenio. |
