Conan's new movie "Black Iron Fish Shadow" topped the box office in its first week

The 26th Detective Conan movie, Shadow of the Fish, opened at number one in Japan on its opening weekend. The movie sold 2,176,407 tickets in three days, earning 3,144,638,734 yen, becoming the best performing movie in the series in three days, 64% higher than its predecessor, Bride of Halloween.

Doraemon 2023: Nobita and the Utopia of the Sky is the 42nd theatrical version of the series. It dropped from the first place to the second place in the 7th week of release. The film sold 102,000 tickets this week and the box office was 126,889,990 yen. Since its release, the theatrical version has sold 3.37 million tickets and the cumulative box office is 4,004,713,650 yen.

The live-action film of the light novel "My Happy Marriage" by writer Akumi Kogi and illustrator Tsukioka Tsukioka dropped from 2nd to 3rd place in its fifth weekend. The film sold 70,000 tickets this week and took in 97,597,490 yen. Since its release, the film has sold 3.37 million tickets and grossed 2,320,019,200 yen.
