"Wild Beasts" is scheduled to be released nationwide in mainland China on May 12

Today (April 12), the thriller "Wild Beasts" directed by Baltasar Kormákur ("Almost Nothing" and "Never Say Die") and starring Idris Elba was scheduled to be released in mainland China on May 12.

Promotional video:

Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniel, a widower who has just experienced the pain of losing his wife. He decides to return to South Africa with his two daughters, where he and his wife first met, and embark on a long-planned trip to a wildlife sanctuary managed by his old friend and wildlife biologist Martin Bytos (Sharlto Copley).

But this journey of healing turns into a terrifying journey of survival: they are targeted and hunted by a giant lion that escaped from the clutches of greedy and brutal poachers and now regards all humans as enemies.

Directed by Baltasar Kormákur (The High, Intolerable), and written by Ryan Engel (Short Horizon, Rampage), the film was released in North America on August 19 last year.
