The first official trailer of the classic new chapter "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenshin Romantica" was released

At the Aniplex Online Fest 2022 event held today (September 24), the official unveiled more information about the new chapter of the classic animation "Rurouni Kenshin" "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenshin Romantica-", which had previously announced a preview. The main production staff and main voice actors were also released. At the same time, the official also released the first official trailer for the new animation.

The new anime will re-adapt the main plot of the original manga. Aniplex also released the main visual effects of the protagonists Kenshin and Kaoru.

LIDEN FILMS will be responsible for the animation production, with Hideyo Yamamoto (Cells at Work! BLACK, Strike: Blood, My Master Has No Tail) as the producer, Hideyuki Kurata (the movie Made in Abyss) as the series composition, Terumi Nishii (chief animation supervisor of Jujutsu Kaisen) as the character designer, and Yu Takami (Library Wars, TBS drama Dr. Doctor) as the music composer.

The voice actors announced so far include the two protagonists: Saito Souma will voice the male protagonist Kenshin Himura, while the female protagonist Kaoru Kamiya will be voiced by Takahashi Rie.

"Rurouni Kenshin -The Meiji Kenshin Romantica-" will be broadcast in Fuji TV's Noitamina time slot in 2023.
