Zhang Yimou's new film "Sniper" is scheduled to be released on the first day of the Chinese New Year in 2022

Today (November 22), the film "Sniper", directed by Zhang Yimou, about the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, released a release poster and officially announced that it will be released on the first day of the Lunar New Year in 2022. The group photo of the soldiers of the fifth squad of the eighth company on the poster was frozen in January 1953.

"Sniper" is co-directed by Zhang Yimou and Zhang Mo, written by Chen Yu, and starred by Zhang Yu and Zhang Yi. It focuses on the snipers during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and tells the heroic story of the Sniper Squad 5's desperate duel with the enemy against the background of the "cold guns and cold cannons" of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.

During the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, Zhang Dagong, a sniper of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, was an excellent marksman. The U.S. military tried its best to eliminate him. Facing the enemy's trap, Zhang Dagong was fearless and fought against the enemy, eventually turning the tide and successfully defeating his opponent. With the "cold gun and cold artillery movement" in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea as the background, through a desperate duel between the Chinese Volunteer Army sniper team and the U.S. Army sniper team, it shows the heroic story of the hard-won victory of the volunteer soldiers on the Korean battlefield and their heroic spirit of dedication.
