After many postponements, Shochiku Film Company's 100th anniversary tribute film "The God of Cinema" will be released on August 6. Today, on July 28, the official released a new live-action video, showing the actual footage of the rivalry between Masaki Suda and Mei Nagano. Let's take a sneak peek together.

"The God of Movies" is adapted from the novel by Maha Harada. It is a commemorative film for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Shochiku Film Company. The story tells the miracle brought by the "God of Movies" that an incompetent father who was "ignored" by his family had always believed in when he was young.

The film has a very luxurious production team and cast. It is directed by Yoji Yamada, written by Yoji Yamada and Yuzo Asahara, and stars Ken Shimura (deceased), Masaki Suda, Mei Nagano, Nobuko Miyamoto and others.
