"Space Jam 2" IGN 7 points: Warner Bros. takes the lead and Bugs Bunny becomes a supporting role

The movie "Space Jam: A New Legacy" starring LeBron James will be released in North American theaters and on HBO MAX streaming media on July 16. Today (July 15), IGN gave it a score of 7. IGN said that the film is okay. "Space Jam: A New Legacy" has entered the 21st century with the legendary LeBron, evolved special effects, more personal focus, and an excellent villain played by Don Cheadle, but unfortunately, Warner paid too much attention to showcasing its own animated character copyrights. Bugs Bunny and his friends became supporting roles in their own movies, which was a bit overwhelming.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is yet another classic IP that’s been modernized. LeBron James is self-effacing and earnest in his performance, and the story and characters navigate a new digital world filled with different animation styles and impressive special effects. The film doesn’t shy away from self-selling, effectively using the hits of recent years to create visual “humor”, but it’s ultimately so indulgent that the beloved Bugs Bunny and his friends are marginalized in what should have been a vehicle for the return of a classic character. However, the core story of a father and son runs throughout, giving the IP of Space Jam a message of staying true to the original and true to the pursuit of passion.
