In the year 301 of the Pars calendar, King Gotharmezes II of Pars, who had been a proud ruler of the continent, passed away, leaving behind two sons. The elder brother Osroes became king, and the younger brother Andragos became a great general (Eran) and protected the country. However, in the year 303 of the Pars calendar, when the Principality of Padakhshan was destroyed, the relationship between the brothers became strained as they fought over the young wife Tahmineh of Duke Kayumars who was left behind. The following year, in the year 304 of the Bars calendar, Osroes suddenly passed away in an accident, and his younger brother Andragos took the throne and made Tahmineh his queen. Two years later, the two gave birth to a prince, who was named Arslan. Then, in the year 320 of the Pars calendar, the army of the Lusitanian Kingdom invaded Pars, and a fierce battle began, marking the first battle for Crown Prince Arslan.
