The official announcement of the Japanese TV series "Japan Sinks", the famous SF work originally written by Sakyo Komatsu, is now underway. "Japan Sinks" is a classic science fiction novel published by Sakyo Komatsu in 1973. It has been adapted into movies and animations many times. The new animation "Japan Sinks 2020" will be set in Tokyo just after the 2020 Olympics, telling the adventure story of an ordinary family of four in Tokyo during the crisis of the sinking Japanese archipelago. The new Japanese drama version of "Japan's Sinking Hope" will feature an ambitious official from the Ministry of the Environment (played by Shun Oguri) as the protagonist. It tells the story of how he and the elite officials participating in the "Japan Future Promotion Conference" face the crisis envisioned by Dr. Tansho, an authority in the Japanese geophysical community, and look for hope for the future.
