Marvel denies rumors of return of original Avengers, confirms Scarlett Johansson's new project

Current Marvel head Kevin Feige recently responded to rumors that the original Avengers could return in another film, saying that they are not true.

Feige recently told the Economic Times on the red carpet premiere of Captain Marvel 2: "We haven't discussed this, that's the truth. We are doing a project with Scarlett Johansson. I love Robert, he's part of the family, but in terms of returning? We have to think about it carefully."

Variety recently reported that Marvel had "negotiated for the return of the original cast from the original Avengers movie," but Feige claimed in an interview with ET that he had not heard of these rumors. This also means that Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man is unlikely to return.

On the other hand, it seems that Scarlett Johansson's mysterious Marvel project is indeed underway. The project was first announced in 2021, but news about the project and what kind of work it is have not been revealed yet. However, it is known that she will not be an actor but a producer, and the new project has nothing to do with Black Widow.
