Screenwriters and actors collectively stopped working, and the sequel to the sci-fi masterpiece "Tron: Legacy" was postponed indefinitely

Do you still remember the classic sci-fi movie "Tron: Legacy" released in 2010? Its highly recognizable sci-fi world view and the gorgeous motorcycle trail effect have won it a good reputation.

Recently, the film's director Joachim Ronning posted on social media that due to the recent Hollywood strike, the film's sequel "Tron: Ares" (tentatively translated as "Tron: God of War") had to be announced to be postponed indefinitely.

It is reported that the production has been in pre-production since 2017 and was originally scheduled to start filming this week, but due to the indefinite postponement of the project, more than 150 people were laid off.

He expressed deep regret for this and called on SAG-AFTRA and WGA to negotiate with AMPTP (American Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers) as soon as possible so that everyone can return to work under fair conditions.

Ironically, Joachim agrees with the striking screenwriters, supports the need for regulation of artificial intelligence technology, and believes that it poses a threat to all creators.

But he was impacted and affected by the strike. Of course, this was not the only blockbuster that was affected.
