Ben Affleck Says He Won't Be Participating in Director Gunn's DC Universe Movie

Recently, Ben Affleck, the actor who plays Batman in the DCEU, said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that his role in DC's latest movie "The Flash" is only 5 minutes, and he will not direct the DC movie under the leadership of James Gunn.

He said: "My experience with Justice League made me feel that these stories were not that interesting to me. Yes, I finally figured out how to play Batman, and I did it in The Flash, and my five minutes in The Flash were really great, by the way, and I loved a lot of the things we did before, especially the first Batman v Superman."

In reviewing his experience participating in the DCEU, Ben Affleck said that participating in "Justice League" was "the worst experience I've ever seen in an enterprise full of defenses, and it broke my heart. I thought, I don't want to be involved in any way. I don't want to waste my life anymore, and my life is limited."

Ben Affleck also said: "Right now, Zack Snyder's Justice League is my highest-rated movie on IMDb. I've never had a movie that went from the bottom to the top like this. Now looking back, it was successful, and suddenly I received a lot of congratulations for this flop movie that I starred in." The filming of the Justice League movie was full of twists and turns. The original director Zack Snyder left the movie during the filming because of the death of his daughter. The new director Joss Whedon took over and re-shot most of the content. This movie with a different style received mixed reviews after its release, and the box office barely broke even. It was under the strong request of fans that the acclaimed work "Zack Snyder's Justice League" was created.

Finally, when asked whether he would direct a new DC movie, Ben Affleck said: "I will not direct anything for (James) Gunn, absolutely not. I have no opinion on Gunn, he is a very good person and he will do great things. I just don't want to participate and direct the movie the way they do things. I'm not interested."
