"Family Man" Vin Diesel recently told Variety that he hopes "Iron Man" actor Robert Downey Jr. can participate in the next "Fast & Furious" and hopes that he will be able to play a role that is "directly in conflict" with what his character represents. “Without giving too much away about the future, there’s a character who is the antithesis of Dom [Diesel’s protagonist], who is trying to promote the philosophy of artificial intelligence and driverless cars and [these technologies] taking away your freedom,” Diesel said. “There are people who believe that’s the future, and that goes against what Toretto is thinking.” While Diesel wouldn't confirm whether he and Downey had actually discussed the possibility of starring in the film, he was excited about the idea. Meanwhile, actress Michelle Rodriguez said she hopes to see Matt Damon join the series: "Matt Damon, will you star in a Fast & Furious movie? Come on, we have four Oscar winners, bro. And you're an Oscar winner too!" The four Oscar winners are Rita Moreno, Charlize Theron, Helen Miller and Brie Larson. Matt Damon previously won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting in 1997. Fast & Furious 10 is scheduled to be released on May 19, while Fast & Furious 11 is scheduled to be released in 2024. Diesel has previously talked about why he wanted to end the series. He said in 2021: "I know people feel that it doesn't need to end, but I think all good things should have an ending. The finale makes sense, and I think this series also deserves a good ending." At present, it seems that "Fast and Furious 10" will not be the end of the series. Vin Diesel has not yet revealed when the real ending will come. |
