Disney's new live-action Snow White photo sparks controversy over princess look

Recently, foreign media Dailymail exposed new set photos of Disney's live-action movie "Snow White", and the look of Snow White played by Latin American actress Rachel Zegler was revealed for the first time. She wore a blue suede top and a yellow gauze skirt. At that time, there was no filming, and Rachel Zegler walked around on the set with some clips on her head.

Rachel Zegler once posted online: "Yes, I am Snow White, I will not bleach my skin for this role" and "My dream has come true, this life is worth it." Marc Webb, the director of the live-action version of "Snow White", also supported the heroine, saying that Zegler's strength, wisdom and optimism made her the best candidate for this iconic role.

But after the set photos were exposed, some people sarcastically said: "Her skin is as white as snow, her lips are as red as blood, and most importantly, she should be prettier than Gal Gadot," "This dress looks like it cost $10," and "Did you buy it from a Halloween supply store?"

Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot

The live-action movie "Snow White" is directed by Marc Webb, with Rachel Zegler playing Snow White and Gal Gadot playing the villain, the evil queen. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, songwriters of "La La Land" and "The Greatest Showman", will create new songs for it. This live-action version is adapted from the 1937 classic animation, Disney's first animated feature film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". The queen, jealous of the princess's beauty, tricked her into eating a poisoned apple. But in the end, Snow White was resurrected and married the prince she fell in love with at first sight. Her stepmother died tragically.
