The International Oceanographic Organization named Godzilla a new underwater landform feature that resembles Godzilla's skin

Speaking of Godzilla, familiar fans all know that it is a fictional giant monster created by Japan. It has been brought to the big screen by many big directors many times because of its threat to the safety of the earth. Today, January 6, the International Seaway Organization (IHO) officially named a type of underwater landform as "Godzilla Megamullion Province". According to the official landform map, it is quite similar to Godzilla's hard and bumpy skin.

•The underwater landform of "Godzilla Megamullion Province" is a kind of fault-staggered landform caused by large-scale changes in the underwater terrain. It resembles the uneven ridges of a field. Moreover, the area of "Godzilla Megamullion Province" is very large, with a length of 125 kilometers and a width of 55 kilometers. The height difference between the highest point and the lowest point reaches 4 kilometers.

•It is interesting that the fictional creature Godzilla was named after a real natural thing. Although there was a precedent of NASA naming the Godzilla constellation, this is the first time that Godzilla has been officially named by an international organization.
