'The Boys' spin-off to focus on superhero school days

The anti-superhero series "The Boys", adapted from the American comic of the same name, has attracted much attention since it was broadcast on Amazon. Not only is the second season currently on the air, the third season has also been confirmed for production. Today (September 25), it was reported that Amazon will also produce a spin-off.

According to Variety, a spinoff of The Boys is in the works. The show is set at a college for young superheroes run by the evil Vought International Corporation. Variety describes the spinoff as "an irreverent, R-rated drama about the lives of hormones and rivals who put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test in their quest to win the best city contracts." According to Variety, the The Boys spinoff is "a cross between a school drama and The Hunger Games."

The pilot episode was written by Craig Rosenberg, the screenwriter and executive producer of The Boys, who will also serve as executive producer of the series. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver, executive producers of The Boys, will serve as executive producers of the series along with Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty.

The broadcast date of this "The Boys" spin-off has not yet been announced. The second season of "The Boys" is currently airing one episode per week.
