Batman: Arkham Asylum series reportedly cancelled

Batman: Arkham Asylum series reportedly cancelled

Warner Bros. has canceled its Arkham Asylum series set in Matt Reeves' Batman universe. The series was originally slated to be created by Antonio Campos and was in development from at least fall 2022.

It is reported that other creators may come to execute this concept in the future. Warner Bros. does not like Campos' idea, but it does not dislike the concept of the entire series.

The Arkham Asylum series was originally planned to tell the story of Arkham Asylum, but the specific plot details have not yet been revealed. Initially, the project was planned as a horror film, but was later repositioned as a TV series.

Warner Bros. has not yet commented on the fate of Arkham Asylum. At the end of 2023, DC Studios co-head James Gunn said the show was still in production, but did not reveal any details.

DC Studios' next project in Matt Reeves' Batman universe is The Penguin series, which is set to premiere in September 2024.
